One night in Anaheim, CA October, 2007 @ The Grove Theater I went to see Against Me!
I was on the second stair level and happened to have a very cute, what I guess to be 17 or 18 year old girl ease her way right up in front of me and smile back as she placed her hand over my hand to help her find her balance against the railing.
She braced herself for 30 minutes of some of the funnest music and the best dance partner she had ever expereienced. As we swayed back & forth to Matt and Kim's dance, pop, & electro beats we both found our bodies moving closer and closer. We advanced to 2nd base on each other before knowing the others first name. She disappeared after Against Me! Finished, and left me there...contemplating what could have been. An amazing finish to the night or a criminal case...luckily neither.
That is what Matt and Kim will do to do. With their sophomore album out for a little over 2 weeks now...they have toured all over the US including Europe and played festival after festival. GRAND has got the perfect amount of pizazz, the beats that make you dance, the lyrics that make you laugh, and the catchiness that will make you repeat the lyrics again and again.
